Against all odds

The 44th Chess Olympiad, organised by the Fédération Internationale des Échecs consisted of Open and Women's tournaments, as well as several events designed to promote the game of chess, was held in Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu, India from 28 July to 9 August 2022.

The Ukrainian women's team achieved something truly spectacular when they won the gold medal in the women's section at the Chess Olympiad 2022.
